How Do I Get Involved in Our Schools?
Schools work best when families and the community are engaged, but it’s sometimes hard to figure out where to jump in. Here are some of the ways you can make a difference in Washington Township Schools:
Get Involved: Join your school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) or Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! All of our schools have active PTAs or PTOs. You can learn what’s happening at the school, connect with other parents, get involved at school events, and volunteer your time.
Stay Informed: Follow district updates, attend school events, and keep up with the Board of Education meetings.
Ask Questions: Principals and the Superintendent are there to support families. If you have a concern, start at the school level.
Have a Voice: Public comment at Board meetings lets you share input and perspectives with district leadership.
Vote: School board members are elected by our community. Your vote helps shape the direction of our schools.
